The importance of lunar phases in the vegetable garden and in the garden (when to plant what)

It happened several times, especially with regard to planting in the vegetable garden, not to see the results we expected and to remain disappointed not finding under the earth the result of our work … We wondered what was the reason why things had not gone well, despite the sowing period and the care provided to the plant that grew on the surface is accurate and rigorous.

The older generation, however, teach us that to grow the vegetables well, it is often good to follow the lunar phases and stick to sowing periods that they require us to ensure a good harvest later!

If you look at the list of vegetables with the respective phases of the moon, you will notice that the ones that grow underground (potatoes for example) require a sow with a waning moon, while those that grow on the surface (such as tomatoes) are seeded with waxing moon.

On bags with seeds is often given the right time but in case there was not, try to follow this simple little rule. If you do not know where it grows your vegetable, look for the list of jobs or vegetables to be sown:

Waxing moon

Waning moon

  • fennel
  • radishes
  • Onion

Works: pruning vines, collecting chestnuts, pruning roses, etc.
