Verde Grazzano 2022: from 23 to 25 September at the Castle Park of Grazzano Visconti (PC)

Verde Grazzano, is preparing to welcome important Italian and international nurserymen from 23 to 25 September and, together with them, the best artisans in the gardening sector. Many confirmations and new entries that the public will be able to meet while walking in the beautiful historic Park of the Castle of Grazzano Visconti: from the return of excellences such as Oscar Tintori Vivai who this year will present a collection of tarot oranges at Vivai Priola which with its herbaceous plants perennials and ornamental grasses in Grazzano creates real gardens “ready to copy”, up to the ancient fruits of Enzo Maioli who for three generations has been involved in the safeguarding of over 2000 varieties of forgotten ancient fruits.

First time on display for many nurserymen, such as Stranger Plants specializing in different and curious species of carnivorous plants. From Vivai Pozzo, immersed in the woods of Cavaglià, in the province of Biella, will come the English roses of David Austin® together with a rich collection of hydrangeas.
News in terms of plants and flowers but also space reserved for recently founded companies; Verde Grazzano cultivates its own network of new young nurserymen who have in common the commitment to make their work sustainable: from the choice not to use pesticides to the desire to connect as much as possible to the surrounding environment, favoring the cultivation of essences with an airy appearance. it’s natural.
The “Farm” for these young nurserymen / growers is a place in the making, where people can meet and get to know a fascinating world at a slow pace that is typical of nature as it is invited to do during the days of Verde Grazzano in the Parco del Castle. Also here the visitor will be able to get to know Piante Pazze, a new and small family-run business specialized, unique in Italy, in the cultivation, production and sale of rustic orchids that is native to the cold areas of the world and therefore adaptable to our climate.
Colori nel verde has just over a year of life, it is a nursery specialized in herbaceous perennials and particular shrubs that practices the flower farm, or flowering meadows cultivated with cut flowers in respect of local flora and fauna. At the Grazzano Park they will set up a collection of dahlias grown in pots and annuals such as zinnias, cosmos, amaranths, ornamental sages and other species.
Zia Nina Flower Farm cultivates ancient flowers in an ethical and sustainable way, at zero kilometers, respecting nature and the seasonality of each selected variety. Dahlias, tulips, daffodils, zinnias, cosmoses, amaranths, anemones, buttercups, sweet peas, scabies and many other varieties are collected and proposed from the earth… to the vase. The sown flowers are the result of in-depth research and selection season after season, to make emotions and shades of color grow that seem to come from an imaginary of other times.

The bucolic atmosphere this year will be enriched by the presence of animals, with Alba Lombard Association of Animal Biodiversity ready to give theoretical and practical advice to those who want to breed and love various animal species, even those in danger of extinction.

“What we want to offer to Verde Grazzano is an enchanting experience for the visitor, whether they come to buy a plant, an entire garden or just for a walk,” explains Luchino Visconti di Modrone, of “Verde Grazzano”.
And in fact, an enchanting and pleasantly relaxing atmosphere immediately welcomes the visitor in what was the good summer retreat of the director Luchino Visconti. A park with a centuries-old botanical heritage, a fairytale castle and even the good ghost. If we add to these expert nurserymen, ready to best advise every type of public from the amateur green thumb to the attentive garden designer in search of inspiration, the experience is complete.

The days of Verde Grazzano are enriched by a program of book presentations and conferences and various activities that will involve the public in workshops and guided tours. The calendar is being finalized and will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
