Bloemencorso Bollenstreek 2023: the full programme
The Bloemencorso Bollenstreek 2023 will cover activities for a whole week this year. While the highlight will always be the traditional float parade, there will be other ‘events’ that you absolutely cannot miss if you decide to spend a few days in the Dutch bulb region to witness the famous flower parade.
Behind the scenes
From Wednesday 19 April to Friday morning of 21 April 2023
Wagon Building Days are held over three days in a large local hall where you can see hundreds of volunteers decorate the wagons with fragrant and colorful spring flowers including hyacinths, daffodils and tulips. The flowers are pinned to the floats using a special technique called “staking”.
There will be live music and various refreshments.

Parking and public transport
Free parking is available in the area around the Tennis Hall de Klinkenberg. Use your GPS and then follow the instructions of the traffic police upon arrival.
If you prefer to use public transport, use the 9292.nl website or app to find the best way to reach the Bloemencorso wagon building hall.

Parade at night (illuminated)
On Friday evening 21 April, you will be able to admire the floats in a different light.
At 21:00 the floats will light up as they pass through the charming village of Noordwijkerhout.
In the afternoon the wagons will be ready for departure through the streets of Noordwijkerhout.
It could be a nice opportunity to see and photograph the floats up close!

The route of Bloemencorso 2023
The route of the Bloemencorso Bollenstreek 2023 winds its way through 42 km which includes all the villages that are part of the area of the Dutch bulb region.
You can plan a visit to one of these villages, take the opportunity to go to Keukenhof, or maybe take an “out of town” trip from Amsterdam to admire this unique spectacle in the world.
If you want to enjoy the parade to the fullest, you can take the tickets for the grandstands in the various villages.

Exhibition of the floats in Haarlem
The Bloemencorso Bollenstreek 2023 will end, as per tradition, in the splendid Haarlem. Here the floats will remain until 5.00 pm on Sunday 23rd April, where everyone will be able to admire and photograph them again.
