Planter made with old shoe A first idea of reuse would be to use an old shoe to make a beautiful vase. Old objects always have a great effect , in case, you should not sweat too much to puncture the bottom for water filters and not stagnate on the bottom.

recycled pallets The famous pallets, in recent years, have become fashionable for recycling, so much so that some people are able to use them to make the entire home decor. As for the garden and the balcony is possible, both recycling partially or completely, to get vessels or furniture of all respect. Let your imagination go, and I recommend this type of object, created with the aim of making the basis for any object on the trip and then be thoroughly washed before use! Do not leave anything to chance

Glass and plastic bottles The glass and plastic are the most commonly recycled, but also the most reused in a short time especially if one thinks of the bottles that can be used to repot for water or wine, for example. Keep fresh flowers by immersing them in a bit ‘of water, or even better, fill plastic bottles with soil and seeds of many colorful flowers, then laying them on the balconies or placing them in the garden waiting for the flowering, can be among the many initiatives avoid throwing so much plastic waste. Otherwise you can take advantage of the transparency of the plastic to make many small greenhouses for the winter, maybe cutting your plastic bottles so you can enter the ground and seeds and then covering them with the top that you have removed. Invent, recycle, create … you can do anything!

Composting and recycling food waste

All of us, every day, discard or throw tons of food or products from which we could draw “life energy” useful to our plants or soil: organic waste of our meals until nails and hair that, if well composted, can be reused as fertilizing! But proceed calmly: The coffee grounds, the remains of the fruits (banana skins, apples, oranges, etc.), egg shells can be used as parts of your composite together with the hairs of your best friend (the dog !! ), hair and even nails.

The procedure

Once you have all the “ingredients” you are able to get into a compost bin or make you a with your hands with breathable materials. Dry leaves, earth, elements that reproduce the environment and natural organisms (earthworms, etc.) To which are added to your waste. At this point you just have to mix, wet (rain is ideal!) And wait for the color of your “mix organic” assume homogeneous appearance and degrading …

Precautions

To get a decent composite will be good to follow a few simple guidelines such as the types of foods that you plan to put in the compost and the humidity of the area in which you find that could affect the ultimate success of your project. Leftover meat, for example, attract non-domestic animals so be careful what you throw in your compost! With regard to the moisture value, calculated as percentages between 40% and 60% are ideal for the composit. If you see your mix is too dry, add a little ‘water if too wet you can use multiple substances “annoying” as paper, straw, wood, conifer needles, etc.
